Stainless Steel Introduce
Hastelloy G-30 is a high chromium nickel-base alloy which has superior corrosion resistance over most other nickel and iron-base alloys in commercial phosphoric acid as well as many complex environments containing highly oxidizing acids such as nitric/hydrochloric, nitric/hydrofluoric and sulfuric acids. It has good resistance to localized corrosion and to both reducing and oxidizing aqueous media.
The chemical composition of Hastelloy G-30 is balanced to provide excellent resistance to both general and localized corrosion. It contains significant amounts of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, which provide excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing environments. The addition of tungsten and copper also enhances its resistance to localized corrosion caused by chlorides and other halide ions.
In addition to its excellent corrosion resistance, Hastelloy G-30 also exhibits good mechanical properties, such as high strength and ductility. It can be easily formed, welded, and machined using standard processes, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in various industries, including chemical processing, petrochemical, pollution control, pulp and paper, and more.
Some of the key features and benefits of Hastelloy G-30 include:
Excellent corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing acids and other aggressive environments
Good resistance to localized corrosion caused by chlorides and other halide ions
High strength and ductility
Good formability, weldability, and machinability
Suitable for a wide range of applications in various industries
Overall, Hastelloy G-30 is an excellent choice for applications that require superior corrosion resistance and high mechanical properties in highly aggressive environments. Its unique combination of chemical composition and mechanical properties make it a versatile and reliable alloy for a wide range of industrial applications.
